Opsums advanced Laparoscopy Centre was founded in 2022 to Focus on Regular Practice & Expansion Of Procedures In Minimal Access Surgery. Minimal Access Surgery since its introduction in India has spreaded across the country. We as committed Minimal Access Surgeon want to ensure that the technique spread to all corners of our region. As of now our centre is already recognized to be a centre of Advanced Laparoscopic & Endoscopic Surgery.

The vision of Opsums Advanced Laparoscopy Centre is to provide with continuous improvement in Minimal Access Surgery to all segments of society. We aim to achieve this with our Excellence & Availability to lower segment of society as well.

Spectrum of surgery

The Institute has a large clinical work load and high volume (about 200-215 laparoscopic procedures performed every month) including the basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures as mentioned below out of which 60% are biliary surgery and 40% are other advanced laparoscopic procedures:

  1. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (for gall bladder stones)

  2. Laparoscopic CBD Exploration (for CBD stones)

  3. Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia repair (TAPP, TEP & eTEP)

  4. Laparoscopic Incisional / ventral hernia repair (IPOM, IPOM-Plus & Preperitonial Mesh Hernioplasty)

  5. Laparoscopic Appendicectomy

  6. Laparoscopic & Open Surgery on small and large intestines.

  7. Laparoscopic & Open  Surgery on solid organs like Pancreas / Spleen / Liver / Adrenal / Kidney

  8. Laparoscopic, Endoscopic & Open  Surgery for kidney, ureter & Bladder stones and other pathologies

  9. Laparoscopic Fundoplication for hiatus hernia and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

  10. Laparoscopic Gastrojejunostomy, Choledochoduedenostomy & Hepaticojejunostomy

  11. Surgery for Fissure, Fistula & Hemorrhoid
